Substance Use Commissioning Plan public consultation, 2023
Local Authorities are responsible for commissioning substance use treatment services as part of their public health responsibilities.
Bristol City Council commissions a range of inpatient and community substance use early engagement, treatment, and support services. This is currently provided by Recovery Orientated Alcohol and Drugs Service (ROADS) and targeted youth service.
We carried out a public consultation to make sure we could hear all voices, thatwe have a clear understanding of the potential impact of our proposal on differentgroups, and that people had the chance to provide their views to support the Council to identify and rectify any gaps, issues, or ambiguities in our commissioning approach.
Our Draft Substance Use Commissioning Plan was available for consultation between 30 October and 24 December 2023.
