Montpelier Park

Description

This park stands in the old churchyard of St Andrews Church, which was demolished in 1969. There is a play area in it.

From Monday 11 November, the play area in Montpelier Park will be closed for 10 weeks while refurbishment work takes place.

Access to St Andrews Road may temporarily be affected during this time to allow for deliveries and removals from site. The play park closure also includes the basketball court which is to be used as site storage during the works.

Once finished, the new play area will have:

  • a range of new play equipment for children aged 0 to 12 years including climbing frame, balancing equipment, a slide, swings, seesaw and other play equipment.
  • resurfacing and a new mound formation for the slide
  • two fixed picnic tables

The work is part of the refurbishment also happening at Albany Green.
