Installation of new red bench

A new red bench has recently been unveiled opposite the Watershed in 'living tribute' to local schoolgirl Ivy who underwent a lifesaving heart procedure aged just two days old.

Now aged eight, Ivy is thriving. She enjoys skateboarding, rollerblading, gymnastics and reading.

The red bench recognising Ivy, is part of a new British Heart Foundation campaign. To mark 65 years since the British Heart Foundation began, the charity is unveiling 65 red benches across the UK in tribute to those living with cardiovascular disease, including congenital heart conditions.

Bristol Harbour helps boaters after Kelston lock closure

Winter Moorings boats

After Kelston Lock in Saltford closed unexpectedly in September, the team at Bristol Harbour quickly stepped in to help. They've made space for extra boats needing somewhere safe to stay over the winter.

Harbour staff have worked hard to manage the extra demand for winter mooring and keep everything running smoothly and safely. Bristol Harbour authority is committed to supporting boaters when faced with unexpected disruption.
