Improving the health of children in Bristol
Bristol Healthy Schools provides support for all Bristol schools and education settings to improve the health and wellbeing of pupils, staff and families.
We provide information, teaching resources and advice. We also run the Healthy Schools award scheme.
What our programme is
The Healthy Schools programme is a nationally recognised programme that supports the core aim of Office for Health Improvement and Disparities to protect and improve the nation's health and wellbeing.
Schools play an important role in helping children, staff, families and the wider community live a healthy life.
Bristol Healthy Schools help schools that want to improve the health and wellbeing of their pupils, staff and local community.
We provide:
- advice on improving students' health and wellbeing, or on specific health issues
- a directory of training for schools
- teaching resources
- information about services
- an awards programme
