The current and proposed Business Improvement Districts (BIDs) in Bristol.

Business Improvement Districts are partnerships set up to improve particular commercial areas.

Businesses in the area pay a percentage of their rateable value on top of their business rates to fund projects which benefit local businesses.

You have to pay a small levy on top of your business rates in our Business Improvement Districts (BIDs) in:

  • Broadmead
  • City Centre
  • Clifton Village
  • Redcliffe and Temple

A Business Improvement District can charge this levy for up to five years.
