The new local plan will set out how Bristol will develop over the next 20 years. It will help deliver the new homes and jobs we need and safeguard the environment we value.
Consultation
The local plan review goes through a number of stages of preparation and consultation.

Local Plan review consultation 2019
We held a consultation on the local plan from March to May 2019. The consultation drafts are available here for information:

Next steps
We're considering your comments from the further consultation in November 2022.
We will then amend the draft plan taking account of your comments, and then we will agree a publication version which will be made available for formal representations. This is expected in November 2023.
After the publication stage, the plan will be submitted for examination and will begin the process of being formally adopted by the council.
