Congratulations to Briarwood School who are the first school to progress from the Essential to Specialist Awards.

The Briarwood School submission was very strong.

The strengths of the submission included (but are not limited to):

delivering mental health training for staff
a strong focus on supporting staff mental health
providing regular (formal and informal) support and supervision open to all pupils and staff
development of Vulnerable Plus to enable the school to provide meaningful support to the most vulnerable pupils
running regular calls and virtual meetings with families to discuss any concerns
planning the relaunch of the parent community engagement project
regularly evaluating the curriculum with pupils and acting on their feedback
