What inclusion surgeries are, when we hold them, who can attend and how to make a referral.

We run inclusion surgeries supported by professionals representing services that work with children and families.

These professionals have a range of knowledge and expertise, with a view to providing further advice and guidance for schools.

There may be times where a full-time alterative provision is sought by the team around the family represented by the school. It's only at this multidisciplinary panel that this resource is considered if it is in the best interest of the child or young person.

Professionals will acknowledge a child's right to full time education.

When

These are held every week on Wednesday, during term time.

Who they're for

Any child or young person who is ordinarily a resident in Bristol.

How to make a referral

Surgery slots are now allocated as part of a triage process.
