Benefits take-up and casework

Publicity and information

We produce publicity and information.

If you would like a supply of our current leaflets about benefits for disabled people, older people and full-time carers, please contact us.

Casework

We can offer some casework help. This is for vulnerable people on low incomes, who need help with claims or appeals if they're missing out or at risk of losing a big part of their weekly income. We particularly aim to help disabled people and full-time carers.

We always have a waiting list so cannot provide immediate casework help.

For requests to help with casework, ring us on the number below. We can't give advice by email.

Help is also available from one of the advice agencies in Bristol. For more information see the ACFA website.

Welfare Rights and Money Advice Support Services

Provided for support workers in some services commissioned by Bristol City Council.

We're funded to provide specialist welfare rights and money advice support services to many long and short term support agencies. These services work with a range of vulnerable people, providing accommodation based or floating support.

We provide training, telephone support and information for support workers. If you're a support worker, contact us for details of future courses.

We also take referrals for assisted casework, to develop support worker skills, and specialist casework referrals for example benefit appeals or bankruptcy.
