How to make an appeal about your Penalty Charge Notice (PCN).

Parking and bus lane appeals

Due to our current workload it may take longer than 28 days for us to respond to your appeal. Your appeal will be placed on hold and the current outstanding amount will be frozen until we respond to you.

Appeal PCN online

You can only appeal one PCN at a time. If you want to appeal more than one PCN you'll need to complete a separate form for each one

All appeals must be made in writing. You'll need both:

  • your 10 digit Penalty Charge Notice number, starting with the letters BS or OB

  • the vehicle registration number

Appeal by post

Send your letter to Parking Services (PCN Appeals), PO Box 3399, Bristol City Council, Bristol, BS1 9NE.
