This strategy outlines a Young Carers strategy for the city of Bristol for 2021 to 2025.

pdf Bristol's Young Carers Strategy 2021-2025 (819 KB)  has been developed by young carers, young adult carers and representatives from the voluntary, community, education, health and care sectors.

The Children and Families Act 2014 and the Care Act 2014 outline how health and social care services must work together to make sure the needs of the whole family are met and inappropriate or excessive caring by children or young people is prevented or reduced.

The strategy sets out some of the areas for development in Bristol for the next five years and includes an Action Plan outlining the tasks required to enable us to work towards a better offer for young carers and young adult carers in Bristol.
