What's happening in your community and how you can get involved.
Across Bristol people are getting together to take action on issues that interest them. We are helping people share ideas, talents, skills and passions to make a difference to where they live.

Mayor conversation with Community Workers
The Mayor has been holding regular conversations with community workers in the city.
These meetings are to:
- share local intelligence and strategic information in communities and neighbourhoods across the city
- allow community workers to influence and shape policy decisions affecting the city
- give community community workers the opportunity to network with other community workers
If you would like to attend or would like to be on our regular mailing list contact communitydevelopment@bristol.gov.uk
People Power 2023
Over the last year the Community Development team have supported a group of local people and community champions.
They have been able to connect, creating a welcoming co-produced space where they talked about the theme of power, storytelling, and shared asset-based community development tools.
They co-produced a city-wide event to share citizen stories of community action, aiming to elevate unheard voices and create a conversation to discuss ‘what is individual and collective power?' Find out about the project and listen and read all the stories here People Power Project - Can Do Bristol.
Learning Circles: help to develop your practice
A Learning Circle is a co-produced, self-organised space where you can come together. This is used to explore opportunities to support more citizen-led social action in your work or neighbourhood.
See our pdf Learning Circles sheet (106 KB) to learn more and how to get involved.
