We used the 2019 physical activity needs assessment and spoke with clubs, schools, and sports organisations to write the strategy. It has:

  • a set of strategic results we hope to achieve
  • objectives for improvement
  • a measurable action plan

The strategy includes information about:

  • rules and guidelines published by the UK's Chief Medical Officer in September 2019
  • the health and wellbeing of citizens in Bristol
  • physical activity levels in the city

We're going to make a new framework to make sure the strategy works well and achieves its aims. We'll use this to measure how activity changes compared to 2019.
